The Africa-Brazil Agricultural Innovation Marketplace links Brazilian and African experts and institutions to boost agricultural innovation and development on the African continent. Based on Brazil’s agricultural growth and development, and the crucial role of agriculture to Africa’s developing economy, the Innovation Marketplace offers a forum for research and discussion. Policy dialogue is the foundation for this collaborative framework that ultimately provides support and implementation of Africa-Brazil agricultural projects.

The initiative aims to promote investments in agricultural research and development by creating partnerships among African and Brazilian organizations. It also promotes information sharing between Africa and Brazil while strengthening agricultural development in Africa.

Proposals that have been selected for funding include two projects in Ethiopia to improve dairy productivity and food security, and projects to enhance legume production in Ghana and developing a sustainable approach to manage cotton farms in Kenya and Northeast Brazil.
